What is a Facebook Ads ROAS Report?

A report about one number: return on ad spend. It covers ROAS, spend, revenue and cost per purchase for the last 30 days, a daily ROAS trend against the previous period, ROAS by campaign, and ROAS tables by ad set and by creative.

Every widget answers the same question — where the return is, and where it is not — so budget conversations start from evidence. ROAS and revenue are watched between reports, and a collapse in either triggers an alert the same day.

What reports don't tell you

Reports tell you what happened. They're a snapshot of a period: last week, last month, yesterday. They're valuable for tracking progress, sharing with clients, and keeping teams aligned.

What they can't do is tell you when something changed between reports.

A weekly report delivered on Monday shows that a metric went up last week. It doesn't show that it doubled on Thursday afternoon. By the time you see it, four days have already passed.

The gap between reports is where problems grow unnoticed.

What can change between ROAS reports

  • ROAS halves on the biggest campaign after audience fatigue sets in
  • Revenue tracking breaks and ROAS reads zero while spend continues
  • A winning creative burns out and account ROAS sags with it
  • A retargeting ad set's cost per purchase doubles in a week
  • New prospecting spend dilutes blended ROAS below target

These changes don't wait for your next report. They happen between cycles, outside office hours, over weekends, and after edits. A report can show the damage. It can't prevent it.

Monitoring

How teams stay ahead between reports

Many teams now pair scheduled reports with continuous monitoring. The report gives regular visibility. Monitoring watches the same metrics between reports and alerts the team when something changes.

The result: less manual dashboard checking, faster awareness when something shifts, and more confidence that nothing is slipping through between reporting cycles.

  • Continuous baselines. Each metric learns its own normal — what's typical for a Tuesday morning vs a Saturday night.
  • Severity ranking. Only deviations large enough to act on become alerts. Quiet days stay quiet.
  • Slack and email delivery. Reach the team where they already are. Same channels as the report.

Why it matters: A fading creative drags the whole account return. Waiting for the report means a week of weak spend.

Facebook Ads ROAS Report FAQ

What Facebook Ads metrics are included?
ROAS, spend, revenue and cost per purchase, a daily ROAS trend, ROAS by campaign, and ad set and creative tables with spend, revenue, purchases and CTR.
How is ROAS calculated?
It uses purchase ROAS from your ad account — attributed purchase revenue divided by spend, based on your account's attribution settings.
Can I see ROAS by audience or placement?
Not currently — audience and placement aren't available as reporting breakdowns. Ad sets are the closest view of audience-level return, and the ad set table covers that.
What if my account has no purchase tracking?
ROAS needs purchase events from your pixel or API setup. Without them, the spend and cost widgets still work, but return metrics will be empty.
Is monitoring included?
Yes. ROAS, revenue and spend are monitored hourly for anomalies between reports on every plan.
Can I white-label this report?
Yes. Every report can be fully white-labelled with your own logo and colours, and delivered from your own custom domain so it arrives as your brand, not ours. You can white-label the dashboard too.
