What is a Shopify Daily Sales Report?
A short morning read on how the store did yesterday, sent to Slack or email every day. It covers total sales, orders and average order value, how sales are trending, your top products by sales, and a breakdown by category.
It is the simplest way to start the day knowing exactly where the store stands, with no admin login. Revenue and conversion issues are watched overnight, so a checkout break or a sales dip is flagged before it costs you a second day.
Track the ad spend driving your Shopify sales with the Facebook Ads Report Template or Google Ads Report Template.

Why daily sales reports aren't always enough
A daily report tells you how yesterday went. That's useful. But it still leaves gaps.
If conversion rate dropped this morning, the daily report won't show it until tomorrow. If checkout errors started after a deployment at 2am, you won't know until you open the next report. Daily is better than weekly. But daily still means up to 24 hours of blindness.
What can change between Shopify reports
- Conversion rate dropped this morning but the daily report won't show it until tomorrow
- Checkout errors started after a deployment at 2am
- Tracking broke and sales are no longer being attributed correctly
- A flash sale is driving volume but AOV halved and margins are negative
- Mobile revenue dropped to zero but total revenue looks only slightly down
These changes don't wait for your next report. They happen between cycles, outside office hours, over weekends, and after edits. A report can show the damage. It can't prevent it.
How teams stay ahead between reports
Many teams now pair scheduled reports with continuous monitoring. The report gives regular visibility. Monitoring watches the same metrics between reports and alerts the team when something changes.
The result: less manual dashboard checking, faster awareness when something shifts, and more confidence that nothing is slipping through between reporting cycles.
- Continuous baselines. Each metric learns its own normal — what's typical for a Tuesday morning vs a Saturday night.
- Severity ranking. Only deviations large enough to act on become alerts. Quiet days stay quiet.
- Slack and email delivery. Reach the team where they already are. Same channels as the report.
Get the report. Add the safety net.
Start with the Shopify daily sales report. When you're ready, monitoring runs on the same metrics and alerts you when something changes between reports. Both are included on every plan.
